Tibbu Tribesman, Chad [Ref: 0045]
A Tibbu tribesman of the central Sahara. Many are armed, reflecting a warlike history when they enslaved Negroes to the south and raided the Tuareg of the Hoggar region. The French ended the Tibbu dominance and now the Negroes run the country, leaving this once proud warrior race to sharpen their swords and spears and dream of the past.
