Dougal Haston on the Hillary Step, Everest, Nepal [Ref: 0270]

Jannu

Guarding the summit of Mount Everest is the Hillary Step, the last obstacle before reaching the summit. On the southwest face expedition in 1975 the normal rock pitch was banked out in monsoon snow with a granular quality, like sugar, that demanded the greatest care, especially for Dougal Haston who had to deal with it.

Colour print on super A3 matte archival paper, with a white border, using permanent pigment inks, signed if required, and supplied in a card tube.
